Red Lips

Lately I've been on Youtube watching all the beauty gurus with their holiday tutorials and it's made me want to try red lips. I'm not a bold lip color person so I'll admit that I was scared of a bright red lip but I love how classy and elegant it looks. So I've asked a few people and done my research on what the best red drugstore lipstick is and it came down to L'oreal Paris's Color Riche Age Serum in Real Red and Revlon's Matte lipstick in Really Red.

The red I was looking for was a matte one similar to Mac's Rubywoo. A beauty guru suggested I try this lipstick so I picked it up at my Walmart for around four dollars. I tried this lipstick on right away and unfortunately I didn't really like it. This applied kinda of sheer and was more of a red/orange color and wasn't very pigmented so this isn't something I'd purchase again.

I also looked up drugstore dupes for Mac's Rubywoo and I came across Revlon's Matte Really Red several times. I picked up this lipstick today and tried it on right away. At first I was skeptic as to how this was going to turn out because I have tried another Revlon matte lipstick in the past and I hated it. Surprisingly though I love this lipstick! This was really pigmented, not at all drying on my lips for being a matte lipstick, and the color is a true hollywood glam red. It's not an orangish or pinkish or bluish red, it's just red. So all in all I've found the perfect red for myself and if you're looking for a pinup looking red matte lip or you like Mac's Rubywoo I suggest you try this out.
